I'm addicted to fast food. And food-like products.

So, all weekend, I have been researching veganism.

I know, I know.

It seems like every time I blog, I'm trying some new "fad," some new diet, etc.

However, this time I know that my eating habits are HORRIBLE.  And the research clearly shows a link between diet and metabolic syndromes.

I eat Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwiches with cheese and French fries almost every day.

Or Popeyes spicy chicken strips with Mardi Gras Mustard.

Or Church's Chicken honey butter biscuits.

Or sour neon gummy worms.

Or Honey Chipotle Chicken Crispers with loaded mashed potatoes and corn and a Molten Lava Cake for desert, all from Chili's.

Or a grande cinnamon dolce frap from Starbucks, that I love SO much that I have decided to post a picture of it below. (You're welcome.)

This CAN'T be life.

I feel groggy.  I have chest pain.  I don't sleep well, and I have to take at least one nap during the day.

And last year, I was struggling with GERD a.k.a. "acid reflux."

Might I repeat, this CAN'T be life!

Let's not mention, I've been craving a good ole Chick-Fil-A sandwich with cheese but I won't be indulging in this "treat" because a) it's Sunday b) Chick-Fil-A is closed on Sundays.  (You couldn't have POSSIBLY thought there would be any other reasons why I couldn't have my sandwich...)

So, in order to facilitate my transition into a vegan(ish?) lifestyle, I have decided to do JJ Smith's 10 Day Green Smoothie Cleanse so that I can 1) cleanse my body 2) prepare myself mentally for a cleaner lifestyle.

To keep me on track, I will be updating my blog every day for the next 10 days.

Stay tuned!!!
