Day 1 of the Green Smoothie Challenge is almost over.

And, on a scale from 1 to 10, I would say that my hunger today has been about an 8.5.


I still craved that Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich with American cheese and a medium French fry, but I did NOT give Chick-Fil-A my money or appetite today.

And when my boyfriend wanted Church's chicken for lunch, I passed and watched him enjoy those greasy fried okra I would have gladly indulged in on any other day.

So here's the breakdown of my day:

1) Green smoothie at 8:30am
2) 1/2 serving green smoothie, 2 boiled eggs, 1 handful of almonds at 12:30pm
3) 1/2 serving green smoothie at 3:00pm
4) 2 boiled eggs, 1 handful of almonds, and half a cucumber (slices) at 5:00pm
5) Green Smoothie at 7pm

Overall, I still feel sleepy and I did manage to take my nap today.  Oh, and my attitude has been HORRIBLE.  Darn withdrawals.

I have so much discipline today, and I'm glad.

And I've easily drunk 64 ounces of water today.

Today, I didn't use my Sunwarrior Vegan protein powder in my shakes but I think I will tomorrow. Hopefully the extra protein will 1) keep me fuller longer 2) prevent me from eating 4 boiled eggs 3) help me to eat more veggies.

Oh, and those cucumbers I ate for my "mid-afternoon" snack just a minute ago--they were pretty delicious (and I typically hate cucumbers that aren't pickles).

I'm going to try my best to make Day 2 even better than today.
