Intuition

This morning for breakfast, I decided to try some of the things I learned in this book about intuitive eating.

I went into the kitchen, turned off the TV and my phone, and fixed myself some oatmeal. I reached into the cabinet to get my green tea when I saw cookies. I immediately wanted cookies. So I got one white chocolate chunk macadamia nut cookie and one oatmeal raisin cookie.
 I sat down at the kitchen table and I tried my best to chew each spoonful of oatmeal at least 10 times. I had about 1 tablespoon of oatmeal left when I started to feel a subtle fullness in my stomach. I commenced to eating the oatmeal raisin cookie and ended up not finishing it before I started eating the other cookie. I did finish the white chocolate chunk macadamia nut cookie, but I noticed how full I was and how badly my stomach hurt. 

I had to write about my first experience, so that I would have a record of how I feel. So of course, my blog is the place for expressing my feelings! I noticed that as I blog, I'm focused on the writing and less on the stomach ache I have. But when I place my phone down for a few seconds (and am not otherwise distracted), my stomach reminds me that I am beyond full. 

So, so far so good with this IE. 

This makes me feel better, especially since I lost round 1 of my DietBet10 today.
